The journal manager, Prof. Seong-Kyu Kim, has worked as an Editor-in-Chief since 2022 in Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. He has been in charge of overall work related to the publication of articles. In 2007, he became a member in the editorial board of Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. He has been working as an associate editor of Annals of Medicine (Section of Rheumatology) since 2021 and an associate editor of International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases since 2018. His main topics of study include clinical and epidemiologic studies related with rheumatoid arthritis and basic research focusing on NLRP3 inflammasome-related pathogenesis in gouty arthritis. He has published over 160 original articles in the field of rheumatology.

Since 2020, Prof. Cho has monitored and managed the overall article review process, and provided oversight and direction to associate editors as a deputy editor for the Journal of Rheumatic diseases. She is also responsible for evaluating manuscript submissions in a timely fashion, making decisions on peer-review (deciding to send out for peer review, as well as acceptance/rejection of manuscripts). Prof. Cho’s main interests are in clinical epidemiologic studies using disease-specific cohorts and national claims databases. She has published over 50 original articles and reviews related to rheumatology. Prof. Cho is a member of the academic affairs committee responsible for organization of scientific programs, Korean College of Rheumatology. She has been engaged in the Ethics Committee in the Korean Association of Internal Medicine.

Since 2022, Prof. Jun has started to manage the overall article review process as an associate editor for the Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. His main interests are the epidemiology and clinical management of the crystal-induced arthropathies focusing on the role of uric acid and hyperuricemia in gout. He is also interested in the clinical management of Raynaud’s syndrome and systemic sclerosis. He has published over 50 original articles and reviews related to the rheumatic diseases. He is a member of the Korean College of Rheumatology. He is currently working in the Audit of Rheumatology Research Foundation

Prof. Lee manages the overall article review process as an associate editor for Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. His main interests are metaanalysis and systematic review of the rheumatic diseases. He is also interested in study on the susceptibility of rheumatic diseases. He has published over 300 original articles and reviews related to rheumatic diseases. He is a member of Korean College of Rheumatology and Korean Association of Internal Medicine. He has worked as a publishing director and a financial director of Korean College of Rheumatology. He is also an editorial board member of Arthritis & Research Therapy.

Jin Kyun Park, MD, PhD, is an associate professor and chief in the Division of Rheumatology at the Seoul National University Hospital. He has monitored and managed the overall article review process for the Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. His research is dedicated to improving general clinical practice, such as vaccinations in patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases and developing OMEARCT outcome measures. He actively participates in several national and international clinical trials. He serves on editorial boards for several academic journals.

Professor MC Park has been a member of Editorial Committee, Korean College of Rheumatology, and is involved in the article review process as an associate editor of the Journal of Rheumatology. His main areas of academic interests are clinical and translational researches on spondyloarthritis, vasculitides, and rheumatoid arthritis. He is participating in several clinical trials and laboratory works related to his interests and has published over 40 original articles as the first or corresponding author. He also serves as a director of the Informatics Board, the Korean Association of Internal Medicine, and an editorial board member of Yonsei Medical Journal.

Prof. Shin (Ph.D.) has specialized in the Medical Statistics & Informatics, Clinical Research and Ethics as the director of Medical Statistics & Informatics R&D Institute within Daegu Catholic University Medical Center (DCUMC) and IRB Chair with responsibility for the Human Research Protection Program(HRPP) at DCUMC. In Clinical Ethics area, Prof. Shin is the Chair of Academic Committee & Executive Board of KAIRB, Korea Central IRB Board Council member & Steering Committee and Evaluation Coucil of MOHW-Korea National IRB Accreditation as WIRB Fellow, Site Visitor of the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Program(AAHRPP) and FERCAP Steering Committee as the Representative of South Korea. In Clinical Research, Prof. Shin is Steering Committee of MRCT of BWH and Harvard as the 1st Class fellow of DMC/DSMB. Especially, She is much centralized in the area of Clinical Data Governance as CDISC-K3C Chair with CAC & Asian Pacific 3C Steering Committee. Hyonggin An, Ph.D. is a professor and chair in the Department of Biostatistics at the Korea University. He is also a vice dean in the College of Public Health at the Korea University. He has managed the statistical review process for Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. His research is dedicated to developing statistical methods and models in the field of Medicine and Public Health. Specifically, he is interested in longitudinal data analysis, health big data analysis, and missing data analysis. He actively serves as statistical editor for several medical related journals. He also serves as a committee member for government agencies such as MFDS, KDCA. and HIRA.
